I haven’t written anything worth while in a long time. Perhaps it is because it is finals week and I am a silly head. 

Let’s just say— the Cindy Sherman at MoMA was amazing, I can’t believe I was able to see her early work in person- a whole collection of them/series of the same costume really made a difference. I was also told via a HIGHLY RELIABLE SOURCE that her father took those early photos- how eeeeerie. As her work became more theatrical, I guess there was this loss of raw and grit of hers that I do love, but she replaced it with a dark humor that I couldn’t help but admire. Sherman, if you ever do read this silly old blog of mine, I’m a huge fan.

Also exciting news this week- I do think I will be going to New York on Thursday evening to see Werner Herzog’s second screening of his latest documentary, conversations to follow! Can’t wait.
